ST CUTHBERT WANDERERS opened their account with a 2-0 win over Abbey Vale with Adam Johnstone shooting home in 15 minutes and Jack Nixon bundling in a corner in the 60th minute.
Champions THREAVE ROVERS scored two late goals for a 3-3 draw against Mid Annandale who went ahead in 30 minutes through a Nathan Muir goal. But Andrew Donnelly levelled in 38 minutes.
