Reports are coming from Palmy that almost half of their playing squad missed training in midweek. Paton,Gibson,Jaconelli and Wood are definitely out whilst Reid,McNiven,Payne and McLaughlan are receiving treatment. This is devastating news for Queens who operate with such a small pool. Goodness knows what sort of patched up team Scotty will field and there is even talk he may have to field his under 19 squad against St Johnstone on Tuesday in the Bell's Challenge Cup. Clyde will provide stiff test even if we can field our full team so Queens must really be up against it and I can't see the Doonhamers getting a result. Meanwhile it is understood that St Johnstone have come in with an improved offer for Bowey which I am delighted to say he has turned down.
