Queen of the South inflicted a defeat on punchless Partick Thistle after surviving some sustained pressure especially in the second-half.
The Doonhamers could have been a couple of goals up inside 10 minutes but Tosh and Adams scorned chances. Queens dervedly took the lead after 25 minutes when Marc Twaddle brought down Paul Burns in front of goal and Stevie Tosh cracked the penalty home.
Nine minutes later, Ian Maxwell slipped on the edge of his box, allowing Stephen Dobbie to run on and score.
Queens were on the defensive for most of the remainder of the match but a combination of fine saves from Cameron Bell and woeful finishing from the Jags secured victory for the Home side.
Thistle manager McCall was very bitter at the finish saying the long grass prevented his team from playing fooball.
It was a fighting win for Queens and they road their luck at times but it's goals that count and the Doonhamers have their talisman in Dobbie who took his goal brilliantly.
QueensMAD man of the match - Bob Harris - A class act and his dangerous crosses caused panic in the Thistle defence.
