Hamilton continued their 100 per cent start to their Scottish Championship campaign with a 2-0 win at home to Queen of the South.
After a quiet start to proceedings, the hosts broke the deadlock shortly before the interval. Grant Gillespie did well to release Darian MacKinnon, whose shot took a wicked deflection on its way past Calum Antell.
Alister Crawford went close to a second for the Accies when he drove straight at the Doonhamers keeper shortly before the break.
Queens pressed for an equaliser and Derek Lyle was denied an equaliser when his close range shot was parried away by Kevin Cuthbert.
Durnan also was denied a goal by the upright.
With little more than 10 minutes left to play Hamilton made sure of the points when Anthony Andreu and Craig Watson combined to tee up substitute Andy Ryan, who slotted in from six yards.
Queens are finding life tough in The Championship at the moment but we have the players to hurt teams and expect them to bounce back against struggling St Mirren at Palmy on Tesday.
