Leaders march on
Queen of the South extended their lead at the top to 21 points with a comfortable 3-0 win over bottom-placed Albion.
Derek Lyle opened the scoring two minutes before the interval when he slotted in a neat close-range finish following some good work by Mark Durnan.
Daniel Carmichael went close to doubling the advantage on the hour mark but could only fire straight at visiting keeper Matthew McGinley.
The Doonhamers lost Lyle to injury shortly after but they did extend their lead after 76 minutes when Nicholas Clark rose highest to head home from a Durnan corner.
Victory was all but ensured five minutes later as Durnan finally got in on the act himself, converting a Christopher Mitchell cross from six yards.
