Cowdenbeath endured a nightmare afternoon as they had two men sent off and blew the chance to boost their relegation worries in a 2-2 draw at Queen of South.
The hosts had a man sent off, too, but Archie Campbell missed out on a hat-trick that would have delivered a vital win from the penalty spot.
Campbell fired them in front after two minutes, finding the bottom corner from 12 yards, before Daniel Carmichael levelled the scores 15 minutes later with a close-range finish.
Ryan McGuffie fouled Thomas O'Brien in the area, allowing Campbell to dispatch his second from the spot just past the half hour.
Queens equalised through Derek Holmes on the verge of half-time with a curling effort from 18 yards before the second half drama.
Craig Reid sent Campbell tumbling in the area - earning himself a red card - but the striker could not find the net as Roderick McKenzie pulled off an excellent save.
The visitors were then down to 10 as Kenneth Adamson picked up a second booking before Colin Cameron joined him for an early bath, also for two yellows.
