Stevie Masterton scored twice as 10-man Morton beat Queen of the South to record a fifth away win this season.
Masterton's well-placed free-kick into the bottom corner gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes. The midfielder smashed home a penalty after 31 minutes following a handball from Marvin Andrews.
David Weatherston's right-footed effort from six yards out after 72 minutes gave Queens hope, but Morton held out despite Kevin Finlayson being sent off.
Queen's goalkeeper Hutton was also red carded after full-time following a clash with Jenkins of Morton in the tunnel.
This result looks like a mortal blow to Queen's promotion prospects but they just could not come to terms with a physical Morton side who were assisted at times by a weak referee.
Queens Mad Man of the Match - Bob Harris - Looked the most accomplished player on the park and was unlucky when one of his piledrivers came off the bar.
