Andy Dowie's late header earned Queen of the South a share of the spoils as they held Cowdenbeath to a draw at Palmerston Park.
The visitors dominated the early stages of the match and went ahead in the 11th minute when Greg Stewart's low drive was fumbled over the line by Queen's keeper Calum Antell.
The Doonhamers garadually clawed themselves back into the match and almost drew level in the 22nd minute when Derek Lyle headed Ian McShane's corner against the bar from close range, but it remained 1-0 going into half-time.
The hosts improved dramatically in the second period and Jim McIntyre's men finally got on the scoresheet five minutes from the end when defender Dowie nodded in from close range.
Queens almost shot themselves in the foot when horrendous blunders by Antell and Dowie almost gifted the points to the Fifers.
Another disappointing and frustrating day for the Palmy faithful which puts manager McIntyre under increasing pressure.
Antell's early blunder set the tone for the match but the amazing near capitulation by the Queen's defence in the closing stages gives cause for concern.
Worrying time indeed for everyone concerned.
