Queen of the South defender Jim Thomson scored at both ends as his side were held at home by St Johnstone.
Queens made a bright start and Dobbie should have scored in the opening minute but shot wide after MGowan had set him up. Samuel had an opportunity after Bell in the Queens goal was caughht in two minds but the ball was scrambled clear.
The home side made the breakthrough on 52 minutes when David Weatherston was brought down and Stephen Dobbie slotted away the penalty. Saints were level on 64 minutes when Thomson headed past his own keeper and then took a shock Derek Holmes prodded home after a spill by the Queens keeper Bell.
Queens however were not finished and levelled with eight minutes left when Thomson was on the spot to benefit from Alan Main's fumble.
Queens boss Chisolm will be disappointed with the loss of another two points and will hope that his injury problems begin to ease in the next week or so.
It's off to Falkirk on CIS cup business on Tuesday and on current form Queens will really up against it but as usual I am optimistic.
