David Weatherston struck the bar for the hosts before Craig Samson was sent off for fouling Paul Burns in the area.
Stewart Kean converted the resulting penalty on 19 minutes and Steven McKenna headed Queens' second 12 minutes after the break.
With the visitors reduced to 9 outfield players the match was more or less over as a contest but Queens struggled to press home their numericall advantage.
Watherston completed the scoring with 20 minutes remaining, firing a low shot into the net.
A comfortable win for Queens but things will be a lot tougher at Inverness on Saturday.
