ITS A PALMY STALEMATE

Queen of the South 0  Dunfermline 0

Dunfermline were denied a win when skipper Lee Ashcroft's last-minute header was cleared off the line to earn Queen of the South a point.

Nicky Clark went close to breaking the deadlock in the first half at Palmerston Park, but the Dunfermline striker found the side netting.

The hosts' Stephen Dobbie tested Sean Murdoch from distance with a shot the goalkeeper tipped over the bar.

Ashcroft's late chance was the closest either side came to a winner.
