QUEENS CONSOLIDATE THEIR FOURTH SPOT WITH A NARROW YET COMFORTABLE WIN OVER COWDENBEATH
Christopher Higgins fired the hosts in front by turning in Christopher Mitchell's corner.
Gavin Reilly produced a neat finish from close range to double Queen's advantage after an error by the away defence.
There was a glimmer of hope for Cowden when substitute Sammy Stewart fired home but it proved to be too little, too late for the away side.
The final score suggests a close game - far from it with Queens bombarding the Fifers defence in the second half with Russell,Reilly and Burns all going very close. A third spot finish is now quite feasable and a play-off place is well within our grasp.
