Dods breaks Queen`s hearts

A dramatic goal from defender Darren Dods seven minutes into injury time gave Falkirk a 1-0 win over Queen of the South after the hosts had missed a penalty moments before.

Falkirk's Craig Sibbald sustained a serious injury five minutes from the end after falling awkwardly following an aerial collision and that meant there were a lengthy period of stoppage time.

The Bairns had a chance to win the game from the penalty spot three minutes into that added time when Mark Campbell upended striker Farid El Alagui.

But Queen of the South goalkeeper Lee Robinson guessed right to deny Mark Millar from the spot-kick and it appeared to have earned his struggling side a point.

However, Dods headed Millar's corner into the net with virtually the last touch of the game to snatch victory.
