Despite a dire first half Queens dug out a win at Broadwood and moved in nicely behind Livingston at the top of the First Division.
Clyde frustrated Queens in a first half which was best forgotten in which Kean came the closest in breaking the deadlock.
Queens virtually killed Clyde off with a quick fire double in the second half. The first came in 54 minutes when Dobbie cut the ball across and Gary Arbuckle drilled home from 18 yards. Four minutes later, Michael McGowan created a chance for Dobbie to beat Peter Cherrie from close range, with
Queens won comfortably in the end and could have had a few more goals with Arbuckle hitting the bar. Only down note was that Bob Harris had to leave the field with what looked like a serious groin injury.
This result sets Queens up nicely for next Saturday when Livingston are the visitors - let's hope there is a big crowd to cheer on the lads.
Queens MAD Man of the Match - Jim Thomson - Never put a foot wrong and on this showing has plenty of gas left in the tank.
