Cowdenbeath Preview

An in-form Queen of the South take on Cowdenbeath tommorow at Palmerston Park in the Bell's Scottish Second Division, looking to stay top of the table. Cowdenbeath have had mixed results this year but many managers in the division would agree that when they play to their potential they are a very difficult side to beat. Manager JC has already showed his concern that people are expecting a comfortable win tommorow, "Everybody is on a real high after these two games but we have to keep our feet on the ground".

Many Queens fans will remember the game last time at Palmerston when the South dominated the game and were still confortably beaten 3-1. Tommorows game will probbaly see the same tactics adopted by Cowdenbeath who will be looking to put men behind the ball and then counter when they have the chance. The Blue Brazil will also want payback after Queens struck a winner in the last minute of the previous encounter with George O'Boyle's 25-yard wonder strike.

However, news is that George will once again be out with a calf-injury as will Derek Allan who is also suffering from a sore leg. Gordon Connelly is still not available after limping off against the cleyholers, he has an ankle injury. Allan Moore is yet again unavailable which means we could well be short of options on the right-hand side. Good news is that Steve Bowey will again be available for selection but will probably start on the bench after Graham Connell's good display on Tuesday. New signing Sean O'Connor should be available as well and will provide JC with a MASSIVE dilema over who to play up front.

Cowdenbeath Danger man....

GRAEME BROWN

The South African bron striker has undoubtably been their player of the year so far and is near the top of the divisions scorers chart. Has a fair amount of pace and is deadly in front of goal. Has already scored 3 times against the Doonhamers this season, all of which came in the game at Palmerston. He will be the player to watch tommorow and Cowdenbeath's hopes will lie on his ability to counter at pace. Has forged good forward partnerships with both Ian Young and Keith Wright this season.
