QUEENS SEEK SOME FESTIVE CHEER AT AIRDRIE

Brian Reid
still injured
Queens have no injury worries as they head up the M74 tomorrow evening to take on an Airdrie United team whose recent form has been quite impressive. Despite losing narrowly to Falkirk in their last game they have put together an impressive run of results under the shrewd guidance of Sandy Stewart. They have in Gow and McLaren two of the most talented players players in Scotland and of course the evergreen Owen Coyle is always a threat. We have already beaten them three times this season but with many of their players back from injury they may well give Queens problems tomorrow evening. Apart from Brian Reid, manager Scott has a full squad to pick from. This will be a real test for the Queens defence and a repeat of the performance at Falkirk will ensure an unhappy evening at the Skyberry Exelsior Stadium for the travelling support. As usual a large contingent of Doonhamer fans will be up for the match with the Travel Club laying on free buses for the members. Here's hoping for a Queens win.

Recent respective form guides

Airdrie United have only performed averagely at home, winning 3 and losing 2 of their last six. The goals for column just outweighs the goals against over this period, 11 to 10.

The away form of Queen o.t.S. is pretty dire, accumulating just 1 victory and 1 draw from their last six played. While the The Doonhamers have hit 6 goals, 11 have hit the back of the wrong net.

Airdrie Utd. see themselves just below half way in the Bells Scottish Division One, showing a record of 28 points from their 20 games played so far, Queen o.t.S.'s 29 points from 19 games sees them lie inside the top half of the table, in 5th position.
