IT'S WIN OR BUST AS QUEENS TAKE ON BRECHIN

Last updated : 17 February 2006 By Duke of Galloway

Sean O'Connor
After their marvelous victory over Dundee last week, Queens must be confident of victory against rock bottom Brechin at Palmy tomorrow. Manager Ian McCall has issued a rallying call to the troops and hopes the fans will turn out in force tomorrow and cheer the boys on to a handsome victory.

Victory is even more important as Stranraer face a tough hurdle at Dundee which gives the Queens further opportunity to claw back the points difference to just three points. It will be another dour struggle with the Glebe Park side content to sit back and hopefully hit us on the break. We should have enough fire power though to handle them and I confident of a win.

McCall has a full fit squad to pick from with the exception of Dillon who has a worrying leg injury. Some of the first team squad had a run out against Albion Rovers reserves during the week with Weir,Paton and Mullen amongst the goals as Queens strolled to a 6-1 win.

Mullen again looked impressive and could have had a least a hatrick. Meanwhile some great news concerning Sean O'Connor. The big striker has had a successful operation and there is even talk he may be back sooner than anticipated.
