IT'S CRUNCH TIME FOR QUEENS AGAINST ACCIES

Last updated : 31 December 2004 By Footymad Previewer

Tomorrow's encounter at Palmerston against Hamilton will not be for the faint hearted as Queens manager Scott ponders on what he can do to conjure up a win after recent reverses which have plunged the Doonhamers into the relegation mire. With two tough away fixtures against Raith and Partick to follow,it's vital Queens must beat Hamilton. I have a feeling Scotty will have to change his formation and tactics if we are to pick up three vital points. I would like to see Wood or McNiven back up front to partner Lyle with McLaughlan playing wide on the left at the expense of Gibson. Gibson is a marvelous talent but his final ball let's him down and he has yet to score a goal for Queens. There are a couple of injury worries for Queens with Bowey and goalkeeper Scott causing concern but both are expected to make it. My sources at Palmy inform me that the pitch is still very wet and if there is heavy rain tomorrow the game will have to be called off. However we have had a dry day in Dumfries today and with the prospects of a settled night we may just be lucky tomorrow. If the game does go ahead I hope we get a good turnout to hopefully cheer the boys on to a vital victory.
