Colin McMenamin is all set to sign a contract which will see him in the blue of Queens to the end of the season.
Said Colin on the Official Site, "After the fiasco at Dundee I was glad when I got the chance to join Queen of the South and I`m enjoying my football down here."
Although born in Glasgow he moved to Dumfries when he was less than a year old ,was raised in the town and was a pupil at St Joseph's. He actually signed an `S` form for Queens as a 15-year-old but moved on after a year and a half.
His former clubs to date were Annan Athletic, Newcastle United, Livingston, Shrewbury, Gretna and latterly, of course, Dundee.
Adds our new recruit, "I was brought up watching Queens as a young boy and although I reside in Gartcosh I regularly visit my mum who`s still at Lochside. So no doubt she`ll see a lot more of me now.
"I used to love those `local derby` games when I was at Gretna and we met Queens. They were some battles but I enjoyed them, even thought I got `pelters` at times.
"When I arrived at Palmerston I was no `stranger` as I knew most of the boys. It was good to get that first goal `under my belt` at Ross County and I`m hoping it`s the first of many."
