FORMER Queen of the South manager Kenny Brannigan reckons the reason he has not found a new job is because he is too honest for Scottish football ... REPORTS The Daily Record.
The 46-year-old's contract was not renewed at Palmerston at the end of last term. And his bitter experience at Queens leave him wondering if he even wants to become a boss again.
Brannigan said: "This is the longest spell I've had out of the game and it has been incredibly frustrating.
"A First Division club and a Third Division club wanted to speak to me before the season ended. They had managers in place and I was under contract so I thought it was wrong to pursue anything. Looking back I may have been better speaking to those clubs but I am too honest.
"Football has a level of deceitfulness behind the scenes I don't understand and don't want to be part of.
"The politics in football is unbelievable for a manager but now I have a much better idea of who to trust and who not to."
