SOUTH SEASON KICKS OFF

THE big day is almost here with managers' getting ready to pick the players that will start off the South of Scotland programme.

A mixture of league and cup games will be featured over the coming weeks with South League champions Threave Rovers kicking off the new season with a home game against Mid Annandale.

Last season's second top, Dalbeattie Star are at home to Stranraer while St Cuthbert Wanderers are ready to make a challenge for the title with manager Jim McCrossan making several important signings.
