SMITH TRAVELS WITH QUEENS
Alloa have received a further boost ahead of their game against league leaders Queen of the South as Martin Grehan has joined Darryl Meggat and Ryan McCord in returning to full fitness.
The trio have been added to the squad that beat Stenhousemuir 2-0 in the Wasps' last outing, with striker Mitchel Megginson dropping out as his loan deal from Aberdeen has been cut short.
Alloa boss Paul Hartley, who is hoping to secure a first win in three attempts against the Doonhamers this season, said: "Queen of the South have done really well this season but we have won five out of our last six games so are in good form ourselves.
"A win for us would make things a bit tighter at the top."
Queen of the South travel with a fully-fit and suspension-free squad as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Second Division to 12 points.
Kevin Smith is included for the first time in over three months following a groin problem, with Stephen McKenna cleared to play after a red card against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup was downgraded to a yellow on appeal.
Dumfries manager Allan Johnston said: "Alloa are a very good side and we have to approach this game in the same manner as we did the cup ties against SPL teams and Rangers this season.
"We put on really good performances against those sides and to keep our unbeaten run going we will need to play to that level."
OFFICIALS AT ALLOA SAY THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE PITCH AND THE GAME SHOULD GO AHEAD
