SFL chief David Longmuir last night revealed they are dishing out £10,000 to each club as the refs' strike bites.
The payments are also to cushion the blow of another severe winter which could KO a string of games.
Longmuir said: "We did this last season because of the extreme number of postponements due to the terrible winter weather.
"We need to help our clubs in these difficult times."
The referees' strike has wiped out all SFL fixtures this weekend.
