THE Scottish Football Association has struck a new four-year Scottish Cup sponsorship deal with bookmakers William Hill.
The exact figures in the 'groundbreaking' deal have not been disclosed although the SFA say it will take William Hill's investment into Scottish football beyond "the eight-figure mark".
The deal will also see the bookies sponsor both the national team and the South Stand at Hampden.
The deal was announced ahead of this morning's third round Scottish Cup draw at the national stadium and SFA chief executive Stewart Regan said: "William Hill are synonymous with the success of the Scottish Cup and have reiterated their commitment to the game in this country as official partners of the Scotland National Team and now sponsor of Hampden Park’s South Stand.
"With William Hill’s ongoing support, we look forward to growing Scottish football’s reach and popularity for years to come."
The surviving Junior, Highland and Lowland League clubs were in the draw this morning, which was conducted by former Scotland and Rangers manager Alex McLeish, alongside the Scottish League 1 and 2 sides and several Championship teams.
Several of the non-league outfits were paired with each other, with Formartine United playing Fort William or Cove Rangers, Wick Academy or Nairn County facing Linlithgow Rose and Huntly set to take on Lothian Thistle HV or League 2 Montrose.
Peterhead v Livingston, Cowdenbeath v Arbroath and Queens Park v Forfar Athletic are arguably the pick of the ties.
Two Championship sides will also go head to head with Alloa going to the Tony Macaroni Arena to face Livingston.
The matches will be played Saturday November 28 2015.
