The annual Queen of the South Shirt Sponsorship Draw was held last night at Palmerston Park. Commercial Manager Mark McMinn introduced the event with first team manager Kenny Brannigan making the draw.

Winning the draw this year is the Palmerston Furniture Centre and it will be their name that is emblazoned across the front of the first team squads' playing tops for season 2010/11.

Second place and very appropriately winner of the shorts sponsorship is Phil Shortt Electrical.

Third prize of a League Match Sponsorship went to previous shirt sponsorship winner Alex Wilson TV and Video.

Fourth place of a Gold Ball League Match Sponsorship was won by local haulage contractor Hayton Coulthard.

The fifth place prize was won by local motor dealers and agricultural supply company Lloyd Limited. They are rewarded with a Matchday Hospitality Package for a party of six.

Sixth in the prizewinners list was Homer Burgess, the local engineering firm. They win admission for two adults to the Directors Box for a match of their choice.

A Match Ball Sponsorship was scooped by R&D Construction with their seventh place win.

Chartered Surveyors and Valuers M. R. Rodger and Partners took eight place and will have the task of selecting their choice of player for sponsorship this coming season.

The ninth place prize of an autographed team shirt was won by last season shirt sponsorship winner Peter C Haining, Kitchens and Bathrooms.

And tenth place went to the Dumfries and Galloway Standard who win a signed team ball.

Finally in eleventh place we have R Peacock and Son (Plumbing and Heating) who win a match mascot for a match of their choice.

The silent auction for the neckline advert on the rear of the playing strip was won by Milk Link.

In total there was 159 entries which is three up on last season and is a record number for any year other than the exceptional cup final season.

The syndicate entry from the fans organised by Stuart Fair saw their season ticket raffled amongst their 65 contributors at the end of the evening. The lucky winner was Ian McMurtie.

Congratulations to all winners and thanks to all entrants who continue to provide a valuable source of income for the club, particularly at this time of year.
