Skipper David Lilley: Battling Queens will have their revenge on County ..... REPORTS the Daily Record
QUEENS skipper David Lilley has urged his side to put a horror week behind them by grabbing a revenge win over Ross County tonight.
The Doonhamers lost to the Staggies in last Sunday's Alba Cup Final and followed that up by being thumped 4-1 at home to Morton.
And their miserable few days plummeted to a new low when they were hit for six by Dunfermline at East End Park on Saturday.
But ex-Kilmarnock stopper Lilley believes they can right a few wrongs by winning at Palmerston tonight.
He said: "It's a good thing that we've got a game so soon after a heavy defeat at the weekend. We're looking for a big response.
"The heads were down after the game but we can't dwell on it too much. It was painful and it's hard to figure out where it went wrong.
"But we can't feel sorry for ourselves - revenge will be on our agenda."
Midfielder Richard Brittain serves the last of a two-match ban for County but striker Steven Milne is fit again. Defender Johnny Flynn is rated doubtful.
Queen's McKenna is suspended but Weatherston and Quinn may return for Doonhamers.
