PAUL BURNS

From Official Site - Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Following on from the public vote we are pleased to announce that Jimmy Robertson, Jim Kerr and Paul Burns have all been chosen to be inducted into the 2015 Queen of the South Hall of Fame.  The three will join striker Derek Lyle and former Chairmen Norman Blount and David Rae who had previously been chosen by the club.  The six will be inducted at the induction ball being held at the Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries next month.

For background:-

JIM KERR
Kirkconnell born Jim, joined Queens for season 1959/60 from Kello Rovers and ended his Palmerston career 1970/71. He made 403 first team appearances – making him one of the highest in Queens history. A former Captain, he also chipped in with 14 goals. With his QOS career spanning the decade, Kerr could be looked upon as the Mr Queens of the 1960s.

JIMMY ROBERTSON
A tall winger with a left foot of mesmerising ball control, Jimmy Robertson was a match winning Queens player in two successful promotion campaigns. The outgoing Robertson made 400 first team appearances for Queens during his spells in Dumfries between 1980 - 1987 and 1989 - 1993.

PAUL BURNS
During his career, midfielder Paul Burns played in two spells for Queens punctuated with a season at Dunfermline Athletic. His most prominent moment was scoring for Queens in their 4-3 Scottish Cup semi final victory over Aberdeen in 2008.  Paul left the club earlier this season to pursue a career outside football.

The Queen of the South Hall of Fame Ball takes place on Saturday 24th of October.
