Queen of the South are still awaiting news on the extent of the knee injury suffered by midfielder Paul Burns in his 250th game for the club last Wednesday night at Alloa.
Burns was stretchered off midway through the first half after being caught by the Wasps’ Ryan McCord and missed out on the 1-0 win over Brechin at the weekend.
Manager Allan Johnston is still awaiting news on how long the 28-year-old would be out for saying, “We are still waiting for the injury to settle down so Paul’s knee can be examined properly. We should know in the next couple of days and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the injury is not too severe.”
Burns scores for Queens in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final v Aberdeen
