It was reported on Saturday morning that the iconic Football murals had been defaced on Terregles Street. This has outraged many Queens fans and the Southerness artist who spent many hours painting the murals is devastated.
A car in Tescos car park along with a van at Palmerston were also damaged as the vandals ran amok.
There have already been several leads on Social media but if you have any further information get in touch with your local police.
Meanwhile Mark Jardine of the People's Project and Jo McSkimming the artist who painted the murals will get together on Monday and discuss plans to restore the murals.
Ony three of the murals have been vandalised and having had a good look myself I think they can be restored successfully.
