RODDY McKENZIE is set to miss up to four months of football after tearing his posterior cruciate in Queen of the South's friendly defeat to Rangers last weekend.
The Palmerston keeper was crocked in a first half collision with Sasa Papac and had to be replaced by midfielder Neil Scally before Rangers sub Neil Alexander donned the gloves for Queens in the second half.
McKenzie, 34, only signed for Kenny Brannigan's Doonhamers in the summer following his release from Livingston.
And he said: "I've not long joined and now I'm out for three or four months although our physio hopes it will be nearer three.
"I've just got to rest and do some exercises. The physio doesn't think I'll need an operation but I'll speak to our club doctor on Saturday to see what the verdict is."
