Defender Marc McAusland has completed a return to St Mirren a year after leaving the Paisley club for First Division Queen of the South.
McAusland has signed a three-year deal with Saints and told the club website: "It is definitely good to be back.
"My time at Queen of the South was really good but everybody knows I'm a Paisley boy and a St Mirren fan."
McAusland was on the books at Saints between 2006 and 2009, making only a handful of first-team appearances and being sent out on loan to Stranraer during season 2006/07.
"Leaving last year was a big decision but I went to Queen of the South because I thought I had the chance of playing first team football," he said.
"And I got that first team experience there by playing over 30 games, so I got what I was looking for.
"The opportunity of coming back to St Mirren was too hard for me to resist so I'm happy to sign up here again.
"I think I have developed well over the last year as a player. The First Division is a very physical league so it was a big learning curve but it was an experience that I really enjoyed.
"When you move club it always helps when you know some of the boys but it has been really good to meet the new players as well.
"Meeting the new gaffer, Danny Lennon, was really good too, it can be a bit nervy meeting the manager for the first time but he wanted me to come back here so that was a big positive for me.
Meanwhile mid-fielder Allan Johnstone has joined Queens on a one year deal. Johnstone who is a man of many clubs has played at the highest level and has impressed Queen's boss Kenny Brannigan in recent weeks. Johnstone is pleased with the set-up at Palmy and has played with some of the Queens players in the past notably Lilley at Kilmarnock.
