Kris Doolan, with a double, Stephen O’Donnell, Chris Erskine and Christie Elliot bagged the goals as rampant Thistle left the Doonhamers rock bottom.
Macpherson said: “I am totally shocked. Three of their goals came from when we were in possession at the time.
“The players know what is expected of them but those standards dropped today. It was the worst performance by far I have seen since being here.”
MacPherson also raged on Queen's Unofficial Website that the performance was unacceptable and could not understand why the performance had dropped from the previous week.
Meanwhile Queens will be without Kevin Smith for a while who went into hospital for surgery on Monday.
