Willie Gibson can help us win place back in Division One, says Queen of the South boss Allan Johnston
Queen of the South boss believes Williie Gibson is the man to guide his hometown club back to the First Division.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who spent the second half of last season at Falkirk, has signed a 12-month deal at Palmerston.
And Johnston said: “We are absolutely delighted to have signed someone with Willie’s skill and experience. His knowledge of the game will be vital in our goal to return to the First Division.”
Gibson made 107 appearances for Queens before joining Kilmarnock in 2007 where he played alongside Johnston. He also had spells with Dunfermline and Crawley.
Johnston added: “We were lacking a player like Willie last season. He will bring a massive amount of quality into our team.”
