Durnan returns for leaders

Runaway Second Division leaders Queen of the South welcome back defender Mark Durnan from a one-game ban as they host fourth placed Forfar at Palmerston.

Ian McShane's hip problem keeps him out and Willie Gibson is unavailable due to his ankle injury with player/ manager Allan Johnston warning his men about a new look Forfar.

Johnston said: "We played really well up at their place to win 5-1 but they have changed their side quite a bit since then. They have brought in loan players from Dundee United and Hearts and whilst they may be young they have lots of ability.

"Our players have played to a really high standard consistently and all I can ask them to do is to keep doing what they have been doing."

Keith Gibson is Forfar's only absentee after undergoing knee surgery.

Dale Hilson has extended his loan deal from Dundee United until the end of the season with the Loons who are in buoyant mood after defeating Ayr last weekend.

"Queen of the South may well be out of sight at the top of the table but I am looking forward to this game," manager Dick Campbell said. "Our boys have been flying in training all week and we will go to Palmerston looking to get something from the game.

"They have beaten us twice so far this season but we have changed our team around recently. We may just surprise them."

Meanwhile a brave bunch of Queen's supporters from the Shrewsbury area intend to battle through the snow for todays match. Hope you make it lads.
