Atkinson in action against Brora
Queens young goalie Jim Atkinson cut a dejected figure at the end of the match against Hibs which the Doonhamers went down 2-0.
Speaking on the Queens Official podcast Jim was man enough to accept full responcibilty and admitted he got his challenge wrong when he brought down Cummings to give away a penalty at a crucial stage.
Jim stated that Cummings was very clever and left his foot in giving the referee no alternative but to give a penalty. Jim says he will learn from his mistake and is looking forward to the next game.
Queens manager Fowler also indicated on the podcast that ther was very little in it until the penalty incident and in fact Queens could have been ahead but Russell hit the woodwork.
Fowler also indicated that they may be looking for a striker but not in the short term as he has a strong bench with Paton looking sharp in training and Burns on his way back.
